Jasper York, originally from Pennsylvania, now resides in Portland Oregon after living in NY while attending Pratt  Institute. It is the idea there are few images that are burned into our memory that hold a sense of place and time that is most intriguing and reason for painting portraits. They become silent visitors. The work has reached international private collectors and shown throughout the US.
